Sound Solutions - Audio Interventions creates custom sound systems

Jan 01, 2016 12:13PM ● By Kevin

Want an exceptional audio system in your car? An outdoor sound system for your home? How about having music installed in your golf cart? Wherever you can dream of listening to music, Mario Castro, the owner of Audio Interventions, and his team can create a solution.

As you drive along Tamiami Trail in Bonita Springs, you can’t miss the fire-engine red exterior of Audio Interventions. As you enter the doors and are welcomed by the proprietor, it quickly becomes clear that Castro is committed to providing nothing less than the perfect personalized solution to any of your specific audio needs.

Audio Interventions’ business is centered on car customization. In addition to the car’s audio system, including the stereo, CD player, subwoofer and amplifier, the staff provides services for customers seeking everything from GPS and radar detectors to iPod integration, Bluetooth integration and backseat DVD installations for the kids.

While cars are the focal point of the business, the range of places where Audio Interventions can install audio systems is much broader. Castro and his team install audio solutions for homes, such as home theater and outdoor audio, including high-tech systems where customers can use their mobile phones to control everything. Audio Interventions also offers marine services, as well as ambient music for business, and can even install audio for golf carts.

Mario Castro of Audio Interventions is Undeterred by ChallengesBasically, says Castro, the Audio Interventions team can install audio systems “anywhere that you’d want music.” He says he and his staff are up for any challenge.

Castro knows about overcoming challenges. When he was 16, his car was struck on Tamiami Trail, and his injuries meant he must rely on a wheelchair for mobility.

A high school basketball player prior to his accident, Castro did not let his accident define or limit him, joining the Gulf Coast Barracudas, a Florida not-for-profit that organizes a competitive wheelchair basketball team. Now involved with the organization for nearly 14 years, Castro is committed to helping others overcome their physical challenges, and he is a frequent speaker on topics related to being a person with disabilities at Florida Gulf Coast University and Hodges University.

Castro relied upon his ability to focus on solving problems without being deterred by challenges when he launched his business in 2008. “I’ve always been interested in cars, and I saw a gap in the community for a specialty audio installation,” says Castro. “There was nothing in the Bonita Springs area to serve this clientele and cater to these customers.” People had to travel to Naples or Fort Myers for these audio services before Castro opened for business.

Castro was undeterred by the challenges he faced as a new business owner during an economic downturn. “I started the business when the market had crashed and nobody was opening new businesses,” he says. While “the first couple of years were hard,” Castro concedes, “we are now experiencing strong growth.” In fact, he is looking to expand the business to a bigger location to cater to the growing market, while remaining in the Bonita Springs area, committed to serving area customers’ needs.

Castro attributes Audio Interventions’ growth to the rebound of the local economy as well as the loyal customer base the company has built through focusing on quality products, installations and customer service.

The most important aspect of his business, says Castro, is “to listen to our customers’ needs and meet and exceed their expectations. My ability to provide good customer service and provide a product I would put into my own car results in people wanting to come back,” he says.

Customers at Audio Interventions can expect a commitment to their complete customer satisfaction at every step of the process, beginning with the initial consultation, when the Audio Interventions team meets with the client to devise the best possible solutions, a process that John Domanski, Audio Interventions’ lead technician, embraces. Domanski says he enjoys the challenge of taking “a picture of what a customer has in mind and turning that into a reality so consumers can interact with and enjoy it.”

Once the Audio Interventions team has determined the best solutions to meet the customers’ needs, Castro, a self-described perfectionist, and his team focus on the professionalism of the installation, working with products from leading brands such as JL Audio, Focal and Dynaudio.  When installations are complete, the team spends time training customers on how to operate their new systems.

“To educate the consumer,” says Castro, “we need to stay at the cutting edge of trends.” It’s a challenge that the Audio Interventions team embraces. In fact, Domanski, who has been with Audio Interventions for three years, calls ongoing education his favorite part of the job. “I enjoy researching and keeping up to date with the latest changes in technology.”

With a team highly educated in the latest technology and laser-focused on customer satisfaction at every phase of the process, Audio Interventions fulfills its owner’s commitment to solving problems and exceeding expectations, providing the exceptional customer experience that keeps clients coming back.
