AED

Using an AED on someone who is having sudden cardiac arrest may save the person's life. For individuals who have an arrhythmia, an electric shock from an AED can restore the heart's normal rhythm if done within minutes of the onset of sudden cardiac arrest. This one-hour class will discuss how and why an AED works, recognizing the signs of sudden cardiac arrest, when to use the AED and how to use it. The last phase of this class has participants utilizing training AEDs to familiarize themselves with the device. No prior knowledge of cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or AED utilization is required. Presenter: Jeff Ziomek Pricing: $250 Annual membership $125 Seasonal membership $25 Pay Per Program
