Edgar Allen Poe: Imagination or Art Reflecting Life?

Edgar Allan Poe only lived 40 years, 1809-1849, but he wrote some of history’s most prolific literary pieces that included tales of haunted houses and palaces, black cats, live burials, lost loves stolen by death, swinging pendulums, and murder mysteries. Were these masterpieces figments of a dark imagination or allusions to real‐life events and personal experiences? We will find out as we examine the life of one of the country’s first horror and mystery writers. Presenter: Thomas Pear Pricing: $250 Annual membership $125 Seasonal membership $25 Pay Per Program
