Relax. Rejuvenate. Refresh. Repeat. Spacations are a growing trend for stressed-out Americans. One of my favorite things to do at a hotel is to indulge at the spa, because I can continue relaxing in my hotel room after the treatment. It’s much better than having to face reality immediately with the drive home through traffic.

Luckily, Southwest Florida has a number of great spas located within beautiful resorts so you can extend your relaxation into an overnight stay. Instead of spending what you would normally spend on a trip out of town, take that money and treat yourself with some pampering in our own piece of paradise. Relaxation… with no airline tickets or passport required!

If you need to get away for a few days and do nothing but relax, then consider one of these local hotels that has the perfect relaxing environment combined with a host of indulgent wellness treatments. Your only focus during this mini spacation should be on your mind, body and soul. Go beyond the ordinary weekend getaway by booking a stay with  treatments that ease the mind and nourish the spirit.

Make the Most of Your Spacation

  1. Book spa appointments early.
  2. Don’t eat heavily before a massage.
  3. Bathe and wash off makeup before appointment.
  4. Arrive early to enjoy pre-treatment amenities.
  5. Bring a swimsuit with you.
  6. Stay hydrated afterwards.
