Chef Hector Returns, Naples Coastal Kitchen Has Reopened as of October 2020

Naples Coastal Kitchen - 13500 Tamiami Trail, Suite 1, Naples, FL is back in action as of Oct. 5, 2020, after having closed for the summer season. With the reopening, Chef Hector Hidalgo also made his return to the kitchen.

The business temporarily closed its Naples location at the end of July, citing ongoing difficult business conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It remained closed for the summer, while its Fort Myers location at Gulf Coast Town Center remained open for both lunch and dinner.

During the time in which its doors were closed, Naples Coastal Kitchen was recognized by TripAdvisor in its Travelers' Choice series for 2020. TripAdvisor gives a Travelers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions, and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers and are ranked within the top 10 percent of properties on TripAdvisor. The restaurant has earned a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, with 154 reviews, and is the 141st-ranked restaurant in all of Naples as of this writing.

Similarly, it has earned a 4.4 out of 5-star rating at OpenTable, 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp, and 5 out of 5 stars on Facebook.

Naples Coastal Kitchen offers an upscale casual dining experience focused on serving the freshest and highest quality food in a casual family atmosphere. Naples Coastal Kitchen specializes in seafood. Some customer favorites include firecracker shrimp, tater kegs, tacos, shrimp and grits, jumbo lump crab cakes, poultry dishes, and a selection of choice Black Angus Steaks.

The restaurant is currently offering a (4 oz) filet and lobster or (4 oz) filet and grouper special for $19.95, as well as a grouper sandwich special, including coleslaw, choice of fries or potato salad, and a slice of key lime pie for $14.95, now through Nov. 14, 2020. Naples Coastal Kitchen continues to follow CDC guidelines, diligently cleaning and sanitizing tables/commonly touched areas. The staff is required to wear masks.

The Naples location opened in December 2017, marking three years in business in just a month from now. The Fort Myers location is celebrating two years in business this month. Chef Hector was born in Santa Cruz, Mexico, and moved to the United States when he was 17. He started his career in New York and then moved to Boca Raton, before eventually ending up in Naples. He's lived in Naples for more than 15 years and has become well known in the area for his culturally diverse and creative cuisines. The restaurant is co-owned by Stuart and Laura Bell and Joe and Deann Speltz.

Naples Coastal Kitchen is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
