Three Outstanding Outdoor Festivals Happening in Cape Coral and Fort Myers
Lucky us. The winter season in Southwest Florida means we can hang outdoors—especially important in this time of Covid-19. Here are three of the best outdoor festivals the area has to offer.
Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival
Hosted annually by the Rotary Club of Cape Coral, the Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival is now in its 36th year. This juried art show brings together 300 artists and artisans from across the country. The popular event takes place on Cape Coral Parkway January 9-10. Food is available from a variety of vendors, and live music 3-9 pm on Saturday, January 9, adds to the fun at Lee County’s largest special event. Parking and admission are free.

ArtFest Fort Myers
ArtFest Fort Myers kicks off with opening night festivities in the River District of downtown Fort Myers, 6-9 pm on Friday, February 5, and continues through the weekend. This waterfront festival offers works of art from artists all over the country. Whether you’re a collector or looking for a small gift, there’s something for everyone, along with a chance to meet the artists. The event offers live entertainment, delicious food, children’s art activities and great music. Plenty of free parking, and admission is free.

With more than 40 vendors, the event offers a variety of Florida native plants, as well as unusual tropical plants and trees. Food trucks, live music and the Edison Garden Shoppe stocked with great gift items make the event all the more fun. Parking and admission to the event are free.
