The fourth Sarasota 'Open Air' Fine Art Show took place on April 3 and 4 at Phillippi Estate Park. The event featured 80 fine art and fine craft artists across all disciplines, including painting, clay, glass, sculpture, fiber, wood, jewelry, and more. Juried entirely by art professionals, the original and personally handmade pieces on display were for sale.

Phillippi Estate Park is easily visible off of US-41 on the shores of Phillippi Creek, a 60-acre park south of downtown Sarasota and east of Siesta Key. The show was held 100 percent outdoors with COVID safety precautions in place, including wide aisles, booths spaced at a minimum of six feet apart, and hand sanitizing stations throughout.

Show producer Patty Narozny brings more than 30 years of media and event experience and holds a national, outstanding reputation for her integrity and for producing extremely high-quality juried art shows.

"Her longevity in the event industry, combined with her expertise, credibility, durability, integrity, and stability makes Hot Works events profitable and gratifying," according to the Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc. "She knows how to reach a high-end buying patron with money to spend on art."

The Institute for the Arts & Education is a nonprofit focused on visual arts, cultural diversity, community enrichment, and fostering art education among youth. As part of its commitment to bring art education into the community, the Youth Art Competition for ages 5-13 was integrated within the art show. This program encourages students to enter their original art publicly displayed in the art show the entire weekend.

The weekend was supplemented by food and music available throughout the open space.

Hotworks has packed up and left Florida to prepare for its next show in West Bloomfield, Mich.; however, it will return for another 'Open Air' Fine Art Show for its
Estero event, Oct. 23-24, at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. The tour continues in Naples, Oct. 30-31Boca Raton, Nov. 6-7, and back to Phillippi Estate Park, Nov. 20-21.
