The Concession Bistro Hires New Executive Chef, Joe Garcia

The Concession Bistro at Sarasota-Bradenton Golf Course has hired a new executive chef, Joe Garcia, according to the Herald-Tribune.

Chef Garcia will be overseeing the culinary membership program at the golf course. With over 15 years of experience overseeing kitchens, The Concession is excited to have him.

The Herald-Tribune reports, "Most recently, Garcia was with the WTR Pool & Grill at the Godfrey Hotel in Tampa, serving as executive chef for more than five years, developing custom menus and handling kitchen operations for the restaurant, hotel, banquets, cafe, and pool area.  Previously, he was executive chef at Tampa’s Grille One Sixteen, managing two locations and overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and front of the house operations."

Chef Garcia loves to use the local flavors in his food. He will be preparing his lunch and dinner items with this in mind for Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week in June.

“We’re uniquely positioned to offer a dining experience that is not only intimate and upscale but also approachable,” Garcia said in a statement to the Herald-Tribune. “I’m excited about introducing new menu items and continuing to grow the culinary membership program after the PGA tournament last year that really put the club on the map.”
