Located in Buckingham, Hickory Swamp Preserve is 66.5 acres surrounded largely by agricultural lands. The primary natural plant communities at this preserve are mesic and hydric hammocks and mesic flatwoods. The preserve has undergone initial invasive exotic plant removal efforts.

There is a 1.2-mile marked hiking trail at the preserve for visitors to enjoy. This preserve also has an active cattle lease. Please remember to close the public access gate when you enter and exit the preserve.
