Orange River Preserve is located approximately one mile east of Interstate 75, along the Orange River.

Habitat restoration at this preserve has included roller-chopping overgrown areas of saw palmetto, removing large invasive exotic melaleuca trees, and removing Brazilian pepper trees. Ongoing management activities include exotic plant control, conducting prescribed burns and planting south Florida slash pine trees.

Paddlers can canoe and kayak along the boundary of the preserve by following The Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail.

Visitors may park at Manatee Park (parking fee required) to launch your kayak or canoe. Rentals are also available.
