If you in a position to give cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a child, a spouse, a parent or a friend. Hands-only CPR has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest at home, work or in public. It can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival. This one-hour class will discuss sudden cardiac arrest, steps to assess a victim during cardiac arrest and techniques to perform hands-only CPR. The last phase of this course will have participants perform hands-only CPR on mannequins. No prior knowledge of CPR is required.
