This event is to Celebrate, Honor, and Remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and freedom worldwide. The military museum felt it was time the Purple Heart city of Cape Coral host a Memorial Day Parade. The Parade is also dedicated to long time volunteer at the museum who passed away last year, Roy Leo. Roy Leo was well known and beloved in the community. As part of the Greatest Generation, Roy served during WW2, the Korean, Vietnam, and part of the Gulf War. He was a highly decorated veteran being a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. This parade is in remembrance of Roy and others who have served in our Nation's Armed Forces. The parade will start on Del Prado Blvd and Cape Coral Parkway (by Holiday Inn) traveling Westbound on Cape Coral Parkway. It will end on Leonard Street (by the Military Museum). Join us at the Museum for the after party. After the parade we will also be hosting a luncheon at the SWFL Military Museum & Library. There will be food, beverages and entertainment.
